I didn't realize that being a dual citizen was such cause for concern or lead to being labelled a suspect person. A traitor possibly not loyal as obviously with dual allegiances to two different nations 

But for people like myself of Caribbean descent this presents a difficult dilemma. As we really are born with mixed alliances by nature and by what we have inherited here culturally...

So why this Human obsession with choosing one side or the other?

If my parents are from two different nations, as is the case in many modern families, must I choose one parent or the other? 

Traditionally I guess when the parents are married, the Mother would take on the Father's name and nationality along with it. 

But must we then forget where we are originally from, where we developed, who trained and taught us, who educated us so well...
