"The Psychology of Bun"
Or "Bunisms" as I say…
This was an interesting introduction to a new program, with just four episodes in the first season… it left us all enticed still perhaps wanting for a little more than just this brief encounter with this broad and meaty subject!
The idea of the "Psychology of Bun", what Jamaicans regularly refer to as cheating, is an interesting issue for discussion…
The program format and presentation included both interviews with Professionals and commentary from regular people in public places, who seemed to be spontaneous contributors.
The Presenters and set design effectively styled this new program as something new, modern and attractive. Still what I'm interested in them exploring more, is how far some people will take these issues..
Including those who would:
Use obeah or black magic to control, enchant or "tie" their partner
There are some who will try to even damage their partner, sexually, try to limit their performance by various methods.. such as using obeah again, or even food as a weapon
There are those who are willing to use Police and power with Government to control their partner. Even to limit their income or threaten to have them convicted of crimes… to even put them in jail just to stop them cheating…
Also there are some who will just go ahead and plan to kill you or even the person who you are having this affair with. The worst part of this scenario is that at times a person can also suspect someone of cheating but they could be completely innocent!
I can definitely relate to this….
For Example there are person's who had a relationship in the past who for whatever reason may still be friends or be connected for business or whatever but they may no longer have an intimate, sexual involvement. Many persons will not believe that they are no longer together like that…
Most people think they can tell but looks can be very deceiving!
