The Bolt vs SSL Saga!

In Less than 10 seconds you can change your whole life! Yes in less than 10 seconds Usain Bolt changed his life and changed all of our lives… by proving himself not once but again and again to be the fastest man in the world!

The fastest on the 100 meter track and even the 200m and we all watched in awe of this great man.

Now we all watch as he is enduring another challenge… the SSL securities Saga has now brought a whole different set of issues into the spotlight.

This Great Sportsman and Jamaican legendary sprinter has had his hard earned, intelligently invested funds taken! 

In the midst of this Financial crisis, another crisis is now highlighted that has directly impacted our own national treasure in more ways than one.

Not only has Usain Bolt's funds been taken and we now watch the media frenzy as they scrabble to deal with the Ministry of Finance, the Financial Services Commission and all various Government entities responses to the breach in Financial Security.

But what did it take to make this Great man able to do so much in under ten seconds?

Not seconds, or minutes; hours, days, weeks, months even of training.

Of pushing beyond normal limits!

Nobody can challenge their body to rise above normal standards, those speeds cannot be acheived without pushing the boundaries.

Without being able to push ourselves beyond what we like, or want to do without being able to make ourselves go beyond comfortable, the pain threshold even, you don't acheive great records like those of Usain Bolt…

The boundaries of what is accepted as normal by our society are also being challenged.

Still this is not only about the money.

Of course the public will react and want to know what has hapenned to his funds and the other funds at SSL that are now under investigation.

This is also about the Financial stability, security and the overall integrity of our society and this Country.

Are we really able to sustain ourselves and support our own?
